Electric car chargers
Charge even faster
The fastest and smartest electric car chargers on the market
Electric car chargers and wallboxes on the market typically achieve charging speeds around 10% lower than the maximum declared value. This difference ensures that, with the simple controls they are equipped with, the current will stay within the limit. For example, an 11kW electric car charger charges a Tesla car with a real current of around 14.3A when the limit is 16A on each of the three phases.
The Accelev has a fast ARM processor and ultra-precise current and voltage sensors. As a result, it can accelerate to the full 16A when the “current boost” function is activated and control current swings in real time. Faster, with zero risk.
This works similarly on the 22kW electric car chargers chargers (32A per phase) and the rest of our wallboxes and chargers. Without the “current boost” enabled, it works as well as any EVSE wallbox on the market.
Time is money. With “current boost” you gain up to 10% faster charging.
Extend battery life
Balance the battery, charge not fully, safe full charge
An electric car is not only an eco-friendly lifestyle but also an investment. As an owner, you would certainly want it to have better range and for its battery not to lose capacity too quickly.
Battery Care is an EVSE Accelev feature set that allows you to take care of your car’s battery, completely effortlessly on your part.
When Battery Care is switched on, the electric car charger will charge the battery to full capacity, but the final phase of charging (when the voltage on the battery is already at its maximum and the wear when charging is then at its highest) is especially slower and so that the maximum voltage is not reached. This improves battery life at the expense of a slight increase in charging time.
If you make long journeys occasionally, use the non-full charging function. The Accelev will stop charging when it detects that a full charge phase is approaching (90-95%). Slightly less range, but even more battery life.
Battery balancing is another option. It is a good idea to run it a few times a year – preferably at night, as it takes about 10 hours. When you plug in a discharged battery (we recommend about 10% state of charge), your Accelev, through appropriately selected pulse charging with variable intervals will help to accurately balance the capacity of the cells and refresh the full capacity of your battery.
Take care of your battery effortlessly.
No more tripped breakers
Slows down charging when home mains is overloaded
If you want to charge your electric car quickly at home, you need to load your home network heavily. Often the electrical connection to your home is 3x16A (11kW), or even less. If you plug in a Tesla, for example – it will use all the available power. Even switching on an electric kettle will switch off the circuit breakers soon.
That’s why the EV chargers attached to cars charge it very slowly – to leave at least some power for other devices.
But you can have both fast charging and keep the risk of circuit breaker off-switching to a minimum – use Grid Monitoring, built into Accelev.
Grid Monitoring uses artificial intelligence and ‘big data’ to recognise if your home’s electrical network is overloaded. It will learn to react to other appliances in your home. When other devices need power and are detected, your wallbox or Accelev charger will reduce the charging speed.
Full speed will return when you switch off another powerful receiver.
Why do you need darkness at the least opportune moment?
The Accelev Home range of electric car chargers makes charging your BEV or PHEV faster and safer than any other charger on the market.
We recommend the Accelev Three if you are looking for an 11kW or 22kW (3-phase) smart wallbox.
The Accelev Two combines the power of the phases into one and solves the problem of slow charging if you have a three-phase power supply but a vehicle that charges from a single phase.
Offering all the features of our larger electric car chargers, the portable Accelev One will be your friend on the road and at home.
With the additional features of our electric car chargers, you can improve the condition of your electric car battery yourself by balancing it overnight. You can also prevent your vehicle from losing value due to rapid wear and tear. And much, much more! Your car will love them.
